Dxtra Consulting utilises knowledge and experience of Dr Russell Rieck. Russell's experience in the mining industry has involved time in Operations, Projects, Research and Executive Management.

Our Services
We deal with significant issues, generally at the interface of technical, organisation and financial concerns. These are the most complex and also the most interesting.
In dealing with any issue we first understand the size of the problem, value in the problem, and where we can help. From there we propose an engagement that suits. This might vary from a strategy workshop to a core process and organisational redesign, to a multi-year support engagement to build organisational capability over time.
Our greatest successes come when we can help find a pathway through the problems so you can move more quickly and greater confidence towards growth.

Russell Rieck
Allison Rieck
Dr Russell Rieck is a Director of Dxtra Consulting. Originally trained as a metallurgist (BE and PhD) he has over 30 years of industrial experience in mining and consulting, including working in site management, capital projects, and Head office. In the last 20 years Russell has focussed on projects in business model design and implementation to deliver step changes in performance. This has included working on projects adding over $5Bn in NPV. While most of these projects are for mining companies, clients in Oil & gas and engineering have requested support on a similar basis. Russell has an extensive network in mining, which source solutions to existing problems so that management can focus on complex issues, where there is the greatest rate of learning and growth. Hence the Dxtra tagline of Harnessing complexity.
Dr Allison Rieck is a Director of Dxtra Consulting and a Pharmacist by training. He her interests are in team dynamics, where she has operated both as a consultant as well as coaching State and National level Masters teams. Allison is currently focussed on her creative side and her skills as an author of fiction
Dxtra uses a wide range of subcontractors where the work demand specialist skills. This includes asset management specialists, such as Dave Daines, mine planning and mine planning specialists such as Dave Wandel (from Strategic Mines), organisational capability specialists such as Jack Somerville and commodity marketing specialists such as Mark Berridge. Because each problem is different, Dxtra sources the specialist skills required for a project and then creates the team you need for your problem. Dxtra works on a similar basis for strategic consultants such as BCG and Global Mining, providing business model design and implementation support to their projects where there are complex mining problems to be solved.
